Why Kidney Stones?







When you think of "disease" what does that imply to you?  For if you think about it the relationship between the “disease”  (which implies a body that is not at ease dis-ease)  conditions of kidney stones, asthma, allergies and dehydration are all dehydration issues.  Today we talk about Kidney Stones.  
Kidney Stones are formed in the kidneys, originally starting out as tiny specks of solid substance. As more material clings onto the first speck, it gradually builds into a solid object. A kidney stone is a hard, crystalline mineral material formed within the kidney or urinary tract. The substances are made out of phosphates and urates. They are salts of phosphoric and uric acid generally combined with calcium and or magnesium. They are formed in the kidneys because the environment is too acidic. It is important to realise that where acidity exists in the body, it is a sign of dehydration. Dehydration and acidity in the body go hand in hand. Thus when the body is dehydrated, it becomes prone to Kidney stones.   Symptoms of a kidney stone include flank pain (the pain can be quite severe) and blood in the urine (hematuria). Kidney stones form when there is a decrease in urine volume and or an excess of stone-forming substances, in the urine. When we are properly hydrated by drinking adequate amounts of  “good” water, the volume of urine will increase. Although calcium and magnesium are in the salts, they are there to soften the poisonous effects of uric and phosphoric acid. Some people mistakenly believe kidney stones are formed because there is too much calcium. That is not true. The proof is that calcium compound will dissolve in acidic urine while kidney stones will not. If we add calcium into the bladder and lower the acidity of the urine, the kidney stones will dissolve.
